Birth chart
Birth chart questions, answered plainly
What the chart is built from, what changes when the birth time is uncertain, and how to read a placement without turning it into a prediction.
How is a birth chart calculated?
From three inputs: the date, the time, and the coordinates of your birth place. Those fix the position of the Sun, Moon, and planets against the zodiac, and the degree rising on the eastern horizon at that moment.
How much does birth time matter?
The Rising sign moves about one degree every four minutes, so it is the most time-sensitive part of the chart. Sun and planet signs rarely change across a single day, and the Moon changes sign roughly every two and a half days.
Is my birth data stored?
No. The chart is calculated in your browser and kept on your own device so you can return to it. Nothing is sent to an account or a server.
